Attempted Robbery at Colonial Beach 7-Eleven

Police responded on scene at the Colonial Beach 7-Eleven last night after two unknown assailants attempted to steal one of the cash registers, according to Chief William Seay, shortly after midnight on March 8.
Heavy police presence surrounded the store for several hours while police questioned staff and reviewed surveillance tapes.
It was reported that the robbers came in and left on foot. So a King George K-9 was brought in to circle the block looking for any scent but, found nothing at around 12:30 a.m.
Colonial Beach Fire Department was called in around 1:30 a.m. for unknown reasons but was put back into service within minutes of arriving.
It was reported that no one was hurt during the event. No word on what was successfully taken.
