Three car accident at Halls intersection

VDOT will have one more accident to add to its study of the Hall's intersection at Routes 205 and 628. Luckily no fatalities resulted from the incident.
Two cars collided at the intersection at State Routes 205 and 628 causing a pickup truck to flip to its drivers side and slam into another vehicle. No serious injuries were reported.
According to driver Roddy Raines, he was sitting in his compact car at the intersection on Route 628 facing west. Hall Supermarket was to his right.
He saw a green pickup truck traveling on 628 heading east approaching the intersection on the opposite side.
According to Raines the pickup made barely stopped and proceeded through the intersection traveling in his direction.
Raines said a van traveling down Route 205 hit the pickup from the passenger side. The pickup came to rest on the driver’s side and laying across Route 628. The truck hit Raines' car, crumpling the hood, pushing the car back approximately 20 feet and deploying his airbag.
The van, after hitting the truck, continued in the direction of Hall’s market, narrowly squeezing between the overturned pickup truck and three large utility poles on the corner.
The van came to rest in the parking lot of Hall’s just a few feet away from the corner wall.
The driver of the pickup was taken by family to the hospital, the driver of the car said he was okay at the time and the driver of the van was reported to be okay.
More details as they become available.
