Michael R. Bradshaw Jr. has three new charges to added to his list.
Bradshaw has been incarcerated at Northern Neck Regional Jail since March 26 when he was arrested in connection with break-ins in Montross and Oldhams. Bradshaw was also suspected of other crimes throughout the Northern Neck.
Between the evening hours of March 25 and the morning of March 26, two businesses, the Mexicana II Grocery/Mariachi Restaurant and Oldhams Country Store were broken into and small amounts of change from the cash registers along with cigarettes were stolen.
Michael R. Bradshaw Jr., age 21 of Montross and Sherdrick B. Covert Jr., age 22 of Montross, were both arrested and charged with with two counts of breaking and entering.
On July 10 Bradshaw was served three more warrants in jail. Bradshaw's current charges include two felonies; breaking and entering Grants Hill Baptist Church on Grants Hill Rd. and grand larceny. Bradshaw was also served a warrant on a misdemeanor charge of willfully and maliciously breaking window/door of a house of public worship with said damage being less than a 1000 dollars.
The break-in at Grant's Hill Baptist Church occurred between the evening of March 8 and the early morning of March 9.
Grants Hill Baptist Church, located at 3208 Grants Hill Church Road in Leedstown, was broken into. Entry was made though a side door and a TV and safe where stolen. No injuries were reported and no contact was made with the perpetrator(s).
Westmoreland County Sheriff, C.O. Balkderson said that Bradshaw continues to be held at NNRJ without bond. Bradshaw's first court appearance on his current charges will be held in Westmoreland General District Court on July 16.
Balderson said the investigation continues with other charges forthcoming but would not say what the charges are for.
Unconfirmed, possible upcoming charges
Between the evening of March 8 and the early morning of March 9 another theft was committed. The Three Sister Convenience Store located at 473 Cople Hwy. in Monross was also broken into. Entry was made through a side window and and undisclosed amount of alcohol, cigarettes and money from the cash register was taken. No one was encountered or injured during the theft. No word yet on whether Bradshaw will face charges in this theft as well.
