Colonial Beach takes the plunge

The polar plunge on New Year’s Day was hosted by Dockside Restaurant and benefits the Colonial Beach Senior Class trip. Roughly 100 spectators gathered to watch 10 participants jump in the cold water.

CB Elementary proud of positive referrals

The referrals are issued for good behavior and are part of a program called Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports.
It rewards students for good behavior in order to reduce bad behaviors and the need for discipline.
CBES, now in “Year 2,” is known to the students as “Drifter Pride.”

Deomolition wrap-up brings end of an era for Colonial Beach school system

D. H. Griffin Wrecking Company finished demolition of the final section of the old school buildings located on the Douglas Avenue campus in Colonial Beach last week. The company will now level and reseed the grounds in preparation for the sale of the property.
