King George Republican Party endorses Rich Lorey for Monroe Supervisor

KING GEORGE, VA – April 30th, 2012 – The King George Republican Party recently voted at its last scheduled meeting to endorse Rich Lorey for the Monroe District Board of Supervisors seat in keeping with the local parties’ fresh resolve to “do more with less.”
“Innovative, authentic solutions are needed in our community, not more of the same, tired, unimaginative “group think” that has placed King George county 100 million dollars in debt with an unemployment rate above the State average of 6.3 %” states Arlene Jacovelli of BlazeBuilders.

Jacovelli further explained that while many people feel the Board of Supervisor position should remain “non-partisan” she feels this is not remotely realistic. “Everyone has a default position, and an internal methodology of how they make decisions. The Board of Supervisors makes decisions that impact my family and neighbors on a daily basis be it financially or by just adding more rules. As a citizen and mother of four, I have recently realized how important it is to know if a Supervisor is committed to fiduciary duty or to simply buying popularity or favors for family or friends.”

Rich Lorey was endorsed by the King George Republican Party due to his participation with local leaders in spurring consensus for cutting edge, no debt solutions to state, county and community issues.

Lorey, who has been a King George county resident for over forty years, holds a PhD in Physics from Georgia Institute of Technology, and retired six years ago as Division Head of Chemical/Biological Warfare Defense Division at Dahlgren Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC.) Lorey, who has been has been married to Virginia his wife for forty years, has a grown son and grandchild.

John LoBuglio, who currently holds the Monroe District Board of Supervisors seat was not considered as a candidate for endorsement this election cycle by the King George Republican Party and will run as an Independent.
