King George supervisors to review fracking regs before public hearing

The King George Board of Supervisors is expected on July 21 to review its proposed ordinance amendments for drilling, along with some new language for the county’s Comprehensive Plan pertaining to fracking.
Jack Green, Director of Community Development, said he would provide a review of fracking amendments and ask supervisors to set a date for a public hearing.

CMC property sale set for purchase next week

The closing on the purchase of a 30-acre parcel by Commercial Metals Company is scheduled for June 29.
Eric Gregory, King George County’s attorney, provided the latest timeline on the project to the Economic Development Authority on June 11. He reconfirmed the closing date late last week.
