King George board OKs resolution for Va. to acquire trail

The King George Supervisors voted unanimously in support of the Dahlgren Heritage Railroad Trail’s acquisition by the state Department of Conservation & Recreation to become part of Caledon State Park, at the request of the Dahlgren Navy base.

The King George Board of Supervisors is making changes under the leadership of at-large Supervisor Ruby Brabo, unanimously elected chairman at its first meeting Jan. 5.

Architectural proposals under review for middle school expansion project

Proposals for architectural services are under review by county and division officials for selection of a firm to provide design services to expand King George Middle School.

King George 2016 organizational meetings set

The two King George elected boards have each set their organizational meetings for 2016.
The Board of Supervisors will hold its organizational meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, in the ground floor board meeting room in the Revercomb Administration Building located behind the King George Courthouse.

King George supervisors look ahead to 2016

The King George Board will have two new members in January.
Richard Granger and John Jenkins will join Ruby Brabo, Jim Howard and Cedell Brooks.

Supervisors amend King George Erosion and Sediment Control Ordinance

The King George Board of Supervisors amended the county’s Erosion and Sediment Control Ordinance on Nov. 17, following an advertised public hearing with no speakers.
