Fred “Junior” Jackson Jr., 73, of King George County passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at home.
Junior was a barber who practiced in Quantico, Northern Virginia, Warrenton and King George. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Moose Lodge of Northern Virginia and a Tyler with the Washington Masonic Lodge 78.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Jackson of King George; a daughter, Lucille Ball (Kevin) of The Plains; a son, Butch Jackson of Rappahannock County; two stepdaughters, Rebecca Lafferty of Pittsburgh, PA, and Elizabeth Lafferty of Alexandria; two sisters, Shirley Johnson (Richard) and Margie Keens, all of King George; six grandchildren, Troy, Shannon, Shelli, Zachary, Maddy and Coailain; a great-grandson, Miles; and several nieces and nephews.
Junior was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas D. Jackson; and a sister, Irma Newkirk.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Feb. 21, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George, with a service beginning at noon officiated by the Rev. Michael Reaves. Interment will follow in Historyland Memorial Park, King George.
