Hilda Reeves Sagun

Hilda Reeves Sagun, 69, of King George County passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013, at her home after a year-long battle with cancer.

Hilda worked with her husband in their business, Colony House Builders Inc. She was a devoted, loving and affectionate wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. Anyone who met her gained an instant friendship. She touched many lives and had numerous friends. She enjoyed planting flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.

Hilda is survived by her husband of 48 years, Thomas P. Sagun of King George; daughters Kelley S. Roberts and her husband, Jack, of Partlow and Pamela S. Mitchell of Fredericksburg; grandchildren Taylor Sullivan, Brandy and Ally Roberts and Kailee Williams; mother Gladys Reeves of Newport, NC; brother Glen Reeves (Linda) of Newport News; sister Rexine Corbett (Edward) of Newport, NC; niece Danette Corbett and family; and nephews Glenn Corbett and family and Brian Reeves and family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rexford Reeves.

A service celebrating her life was held Saturday, May 11, at Salem Fields Community Church, 11120 Gordon Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22407, with Pastor James Sibley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions made in Hilda’s name to the American Cancer Society.
