Karen Lynn Holliday

Karen Lynn Holliday, born Dec. 23, 1987, in King George County passed away Friday, May 17, 2013, at Mary Washington Hospital from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.


Karen was a 2006 graduate of King George High School and studied at Virginia Tech. She was a talented singer, musician and crafter.

Survivors include her parents, Glenn and Mariann Holliday of King George; two sisters, Jennifer Holliday (wife Jennifer Stone) of Westmoreland County and Laura Draudt (Jeff) of Christiansburg; brother Wesley Holliday of King George; paternal grandfather Earle Holliday; a niece; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family received friends Monday, May 20, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George.

A viewing was held Tuesday, May 21 at Saint Ignatius Catholic Church Chapel Point, Port Tobacco, MD, followed by a Mass of the Resurrection. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to King George Fire & Rescue, 8122 Kings Highway, King George, VA, 22485, which responded to Karen’s accident.
