Emily E. Ginter, 19, of King George County went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday night, June 8, 2013.
Emily was a shining light for Christ everywhere she went. She was a student at Germanna Community College. She also was a dance instructor at The Studio in King George and worked at Lifeway Christian Bookstore in Fredericksburg.
Since the age of 13, she has spent her summers doing mission work throughout the world, including Africa, Guatemala and Mexico, where she would help build homes for the poor and, more importantly, share the news of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. She loved to dance, sing and, most importantly, worship God. She loved everyone she met with a love that could only come from God.
She is survived by her parents, John and Dawn Ginter; her older sister Alyssa Taylor (Austin) of Newport News; and her four younger siblings, Kaylee Ginter, Sydney Ginter, Grace Ginter and Ian Ginter; paternal grandparents Joseph and Anna Ginter of Punta Gorda, FL; and maternal grandparents Chet and Linda Neice of Prattsville, NY.
A service in celebration of her life was held Saturday, June 15, at New Life Ministries, 2800 McKinney Blvd., Colonial Beach.
We believe Emily would prefer gifts be given to any of her favorite ministries: New Life Ministries (mission teams) Box 494, Colonial Beach, VA 22443; The Prayer Furnace (house of prayer mission base), Box 4117, Fredericksburg, VA 22402; or The Honor Academy, Box 2000, Garden Valley, TX 75771.
