James P. Jett, 75, of Stafford County passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Mr. Jett worked for 25 years for Sullivan, Donahoe and Ingalls. He loved softball, baseball and basketball, and was an avid hunter. He loved to garden and feed and watch birds.
Survivors include his wife, Judith A. Jett of Stafford; daughters Cynthia Bowler (Donald), of Stafford, Amanda Briscoe (Devrin) of King George County, Donna Conway (Michael), of Rhoadesville, Karen Moore (Thomas), of Stafford and Penny Vigness of Stafford; brothers Lindsey Jett of Remington and Raymond Jett of California; sisters Joyce Armstrong and Dorothy Shelton, both of Stafford, and Charlotte Parrish of Heathsville; grandchildren Lance Cpl. James M.P. Conway, Heather Briscoe, Tiffany Graves, Tonya Jett, Cassandra Conway and Briana Vigness; and great-grandchildren Marilyn Powell and Hope Graves.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Iva Jett, and a son, James P. Jett Jr.
A service was held Sunday, June 23, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. Burial followed in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
