Marie Torrice Beasley, 78, of Ocala, Fla., formerly of Fredericksburg, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013.
Mrs. Beasley was a graduate of Stafford High School. She had retired from NSWC after 27 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, watching them grow and sharing them with others to spread beauty and a smile. Mrs. Beasley was a caring and loving sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the widow of James H. Beasley.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Ellington and her husband, Jim; grandchildren Erica Sands and her husband, Roy, and James H. Ellington and his wife, Tessa; four great-grandchildren; brothers Anthony Torrice and Joseph Torrice; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Daniel V. Torrice, John A. Torrice Jr. and Felix Torrice Sr.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 28, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, with the Rev. Bob Ellinger officiating. Interment followed in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
