Homer S. Bullock
Homer S. Bullock, 75, of King George County passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Page E. Bullock; brothers John Bullock (Sandra) and Ressie Bullock (Virginia Mae); and his sisters, Nancy Gavin, Rachel Newton and Virginia Irby(Herman).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Doris Bullock.
A funeral was held Friday, Aug. 31, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
Burial followed in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Margaret Virginia Greenstreet
Margaret Virginia Greenstreet, 83, of Stafford County passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at Woodmont Nursing Center.
Survivors include her daughters Debra J. Coppage–Graybeal (Larry), and Sandra D. Adair; a brother, Ramah Coakley; a sister, Mary Sealy; her grandchildren, Thomas Coppage, Kelly Hudson, Justin Coppage, Michelle Mackey, Billy Adair, Joey Adair and Jessi Fultz; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin C. “Beanie” Greenstreet and brothers Charlie “Buck” Coakley and James Coakley.
A service was held Saturday, Sept. 1, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
Interment followed in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Norman Lee Midkiff
Norman Lee Midkiff, 76, of Fredericksburg passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at the Medical College of Virginia.
Norman is survived by his three daughters, Karen Hock (David), of King George, Beth McBride (Gregg), of Spotsylvania and Nancy Coleman (Billy), of Woodford; ten grandchildren: Chelsea Sachno (Roman), of Charlottesville, Catherine Winyard (David Charles), of Richmond, Courtny McBride of Fredericksburg, Andrew, Christopher, William, Camden, Benjamin and Caroline Coleman, all of Woodford, and Gregg McBride IV of Spotsylvania; and three great-grandchildren, Chloe and Emily Sachno of Charlottesville and William Cole Winyard of Richmond.
Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Jean.
A service was held Friday, Aug. 31, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, Fredericksburg, with the Rev. John Staples officiating.
Burial followed in Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Lillian Clark Aylor
Lillian Clark Aylor, 90, of Oak Grove, passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at her residence.
Mrs. Aylor was born on Jan. 6, 1922, to George and Lillian (Lohr) Ailsworth.
In addition to her parents Lillian was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Marcus Booton Aylor; her brother, George L. Ailsworth Jr.; and granddaughter Beverly Lynn Aylor.
Survivors include two sons, George B. Aylor (Joan) and Marcus Alan Aylor (Mary); three grandchildren, Deborah Sullivan (Jay), Marcus W. Aylor and fiancee Debbie, and Wendy Elliott (Chad); 10 great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A service was held on Monday, Sept. 3, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
Interment was private at Mount Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria.

Toni Fay Mullins
Toni Fay Mullins, 83, of King George County went home to be with the Lord and her heavenly family on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012.
Mrs. Mullins was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved taking care of her family. She was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Billy; sons Billy L. Mullins Jr. and Danny Mullins; daughters Judy Nalls and Diane Mullins; sister Edna Mead of Lebanon; son-in-law Don Nalls; grandchildren Bill and Leslie, Jeff and Wendy, Andy and Rachel Nalls and Amy and Matt Heishman; and ten blessed great-grandchildren, Steven, Tommy, Savannah, Ashleigh, Aaron, Bryan, Karah, Logan, Michaela and Drew.
A funeral was held Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, with the Rev. Sherman Davis officiating.
Interment followed in Historyland Memorial Park.

John T. Gouvisis
John T. Gouvisis 83 of Fayetteville, NC, passed away Monday, August 27, 2012.
He is survived by his brother Tom Gouvisis of WY, his sister Matina Young of Salt Lake City UT; two sons Michael T. Gouvisis (Bonnie) of Colonial Beach, VA, and Tom G. Gouvisis (Kathy) of Fayetteville, NC; two grandsons, John M. Gouvisis (Shelley) of Colonial Beach, VA, and Josh Gouvisis (Angel) of South Phoenix, AZ; a step-grandson, Joe; three granddaughters, Tara Jordan of Colonial Beach, VA, Crystal Spratt of Santa Fe, NM, and Anna Gouvisis of Factoryville, PA/GA; and three great-grandchildren, Austin (AJ), Bella and Shelby.
He was a Mason and was retired from the USAF as a Tech Sergeant.
He had many friends and loved his home land of Greece.
Rogers & Breece Funeral Home in Fayetteville handled the arraignments.
For a celebration of his life, friends gathered at the Pizza Palace (Mr. Tom’s) a place he loved to go on Thursday night.
The family would like to say a special Thank You to all his dear friends & to his nurses for their years of support.
Joe Fitzhugh Clift
Joe Fitzhugh Clift 74, of Spotsylvania County, died at Mary Washington Hospital on Friday, August 31, 2012.
Joe was born and raised in King George County, served in the US Army, and was co-owner of Clift Sales & Service, Clift Lumber & Supply, and Camlift. He was a member of the Hudson-Morris Masonic lodge, Lee’s Hill Golfers Club, and Fletcher’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, of 51 years, Janice; son, Joe “Fitz” Clift, Jr. (Trudy); daughter, Juliette Mersiowsky (J. Scott); son, Jeffrey Clift (Amie); daughter-in-law, Donna Clift; his grandchildren, Jesse, Rebecca, Christian, Jamie, Jessica, Jonathan, Troy, Tyler and Kaylee; great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Kevin; his siblings, Mary Ann Cameron, Peggy Hall, his twin, Jerry Clift, Donald Clift, and Madison “Matt” Clift; his Goddaughter, Meredith Norris and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. and Vashti H. Clift and his son, John Michael Clift.
A memorial gathering will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, Fredericksburg.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012 at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, 308 Hanover Street, Fredericksburg.

Marjorie A. Lyles, 86, of Colonial Beach died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Lyles Sr.
Mrs. Lyles is survived by two sons, James L. Lyles Jr. (Linda) and Donald R. Lyles (Susan); brother Thomas Harrison; sister Pearl Goodwin; and four grandchildren, Amanda, Marjorie, Jaime and MollyJane.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Colonial Beach United Methodist Church.
Interment will be private.
