Robert L. Osborne
Robert L. Osborne Jr., 62, of Stafford County passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at his home.
Robert was best known for his love of nature and the outdoors. He enjoyed bird-watching, and he built his log cabin to be closer to the outdoors. He also had a passion for antique muscle cars.
Robert leaves behind his wife of 19 years, Linda Charlene Osborne; two daughters, Jennifer Dreistadt of King George and Jacqueline Vance of Stafford; one son, Bob Osborne of Charlotte, NC; and three grandchildren, Mark and his wife, Celia, Rachael and Seth. He also leaves two sisters, Susan Plewa (Rick) of Pennsylvania and Karen Straut (Ron) of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
The family received friends for a memorial gathering on Saturday, Feb. 18, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Services, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
Robert’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in his name to the Wildlife Rescue League, Box 704, Falls Church, VA, 22040.

Charles A. Roehl
Charles A. Roehl, 91, of Lake Ridge died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012.
He was a former longtime resident of McLean.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lura F. Roehl; two sons, John T. Roehl and James S. Roehl; and four grandchildren.
The family suggests that contributions may be made in Charles’ name to Westminster at Lake Ridge, c/o Resident Death Supporting Fund, 12191 Clipper Drive, Lake Ridge, Va. 22192; or to the American Cancer Society, cancer.org.
Nancy J. Browning
Nancy J. Browning, 62, of Fredericksburg passed away Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Survivors include her son, Bill Snow of Fredericksburg; daughters Mechelle Robinson of Orange County and Nicole Blalock of Colonial Beach; sister-in-law Frances Thacker of Fredericksburg; and sisters Winnie Sullivan of Fredericksburg, Patsy Goddard of Marietta, GA, Brenda Osterheld of Spotsylvania County and Margaret Williams of Fredericksburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Browning; her parents, Thomas Willard Thacker Sr. and Frances Atkins Thacker; and her brother, Thomas Willard Thacker Jr.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Chester L. Beaty
Chester L. Beaty, 70, of Colonial Beach passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at his home.
Chester was born in Front Royal and was employed by Carl W. Miller & Sons in Fairfax.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Yvonne M. Beaty; four sons, Earl H. Beaty (Alisha), of Harrisonburg, Sanford and James Beaty of Tennessee, and Roy Jesse Jr. (Theresa), of Spotsylvania County; three daughters, Peggy Payne (Roger), of Stafford County, Jeri Williams of Winchester and Diane Wall (Butch), of Louisa County; two sisters, Nancy Cox of Indiana and Yvonne Rimalar of New York; 24 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
Chester was preceded in death by son William Jesse and brother Albertus Beaty.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, Colonial Beach, with the Rev. Randall Snipes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
Interment will be held at noon Friday, Feb. 24, at Detrick Cemetery, Fort Valley.

Barbara J. Huff
Barbara J. Huff, of King George County, previously of Milton, Florida, passed from this life to eternal Glory on Sunday February 19, 2012.
She resided with her son, Jerome Huff, and daughter-in-law, Judy Huff.
She leaves her other children: Gerard Huff (Denise) of Goochland, VA, Clifford Huff (Jodi) of Clio, MI, and Mary Ann Davis of Kansas.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Mandy, Marissa, and Jason Huff; Emily Hooker (Shawn), Sarah, and Alice Huff; Chris Geraci (Sarah), and Daniel (Audrey Geraci ); Joe Huff; Larry and Haley Davis.
Barb was predeceased by daughter, Jackie J (Mike) Geraci
A memorial service will be held in the near future at the NDW Protestant Chapel at Dahlgren with interment at a later date in Mt. Morris, Michigan.
