Gertha Bea Campbell

Gertha Bea Campbell, 75, of King George County, passed away Friday, April 1, 2011, at Mary Washington Hospital.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth Hall, Ronald Hall, Darlene Hall, Kelvin Hall (Rachell), and Avant Hall; one sister, Virgie Byers; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great- grandson.

A celebration of her life was held Saturday, April 9, at Chosen Ministries P.W.C.  Burial will be private.

Memorials may be made in her name to a charity of one’s choice.

Joyce J. DeShazo

Joyce J. “Peggy” DeShazo, 70, of Fredericksburg died Thursday, April 7, 2011, at her home.
Peggy worked with her husband at Tom’s Body Shop for a number of years. She attended Hollywood Church of the Brethren.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas L. DeShazo; daughter Tyonnia W. Jett (Junior), of Fredericksburg; son Ralph N. Wine of Fredericksburg; three stepchildren, Tammy DeBernard (Van), of King George, Rebecca Richards of Spotsylvania County, and Thomas DeShazo Jr. (Teresa)of King George; two grandsons, Brandon Jett (Amber), of Rockford, IL, and Justin Jett of Blacksburg; and numerous step-grandchildren.

A funeral was held Monday, April 11, at Hollywood Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Rick Ritchie officiating. Interment followed in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2217 Princess Anne St., Suite 106-1F, Fredericksburg, Va. 22401.
