Reba Jean Hart

Reba Jean Hart, 67, of King George County peacefully passed away Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, at her home.
Reba retired from CSC, a government contractor at Naval Surface Warfare Center-Dahlgren.
She is survived by her husband, Robert A. Hart of the home; two sons; Tom Hart (Shelbi), of California, and Keith Hart (Lori), of King & Queen County; a sister, Becky Powell of North Carolina; two grandchildren, Ashlynn and Kristina Hart; a brother- and sister-in-law, John and Rosie Hart of Woodbridge and a special friend, Norajane Donaldson.
A funeral was held on Friday, Oct. 15, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George, with the Rev. Richard Headley officiating. Interment followed in Meadow-Brooke Memorial Gardens, King George.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mary Washington Hospice, 5012 Southpoint Parkway, Fredericksburg, Va. 22407.

Barbara Ann Conley

Barbara Ann Conley, 57, formerly of King George County, went home to be with the Lord at 12:32 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, at UVA Medical Center.
She was born July 8, 1953, in Fredericksburg, to Hurley and Beulah Medley. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Helen Weeks.
Survivors include her children, Earl J. Conley II, Maria L. Walacavicz, Curtis L. Conley and Harry R. Violet III, whom she raised as her son; 20 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, James Fox, Charlie Fox and Steve Medley Sr.; and two sisters, Shelby Sanders and Jeannette Elswick.
She also left behind her children’s father, best friend and ex-husband, Earl J. Conley Sr., and many other family members.
A funeral celebrating her life was held Friday, Oct. 15, at Mine Road Baptist Church, on Post Oak Road in Spotsylvania. Burial followed in Stafford Memorial Park. Pastor Ray Farrow will be officiating.
She will be greatly missed and was loved by all who knew her.

Maude Lillian Bullock

Maude Lillian Bullock, 95, of Sealston died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at her residence.
Survivors include several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Lillian Mildred Barr

Lillian Mildred Barr, 92, of Colonial Beach, formerly of Dale City, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at Westmoreland Rehabilitation Center, Colonial Beach.
Lillian was the widow of Glen O. Barr. She is survived by two sons, John Barr of Stephens City and Fred Barr of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Lillian was predeceased by her daughters, Rosemary Barr and Joyce Barr Bayuvick; and a granddaughter, Sharon Barr Desmuke.
A funeral was held Saturday, Oct. 16, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, Colonial Beach. Interment was on Monday, Oct. 18, in Harmony Cemetery, Burton, W.Va.

Franklin E. Johnson

Franklin E. Johnson, 61, of Fredericksburg, formerly of King George County, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Vernice Johnson; two daughters, TaVonia and Tangela Johnson; one sister, Erica Johnson; and three brothers, Milton, Harold and Anthony Johnson.
A funeral was held Monday, Oct. 18, at Cedell Brooks Funeral Home, Port Royal, with the Rev. Leonard G. Bland officiating. Burial was in Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle.

MSGT Bobby J. Lockard

Master Sergeant Bobby J. Lockard, 79, of King George died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at his residence.
Master Sgt. Lockard started his military career in 1946, serving with the occupational forces in Japan. He served in Korea and is a survivor of the Battle of Chosin Reservoir. After returning from Vietnam, he retired from the United States Marine Corps in 1971. He was a valiant Marine and his family is proud of his service.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Roberta M. Lockard; his sons, Lloyd A. Lockard, Robert P. Lockard, M. Shawn Lockard and Matthew P. Lockard; his daughter, Shannon M. Williamson; his grandchildren, Devin C. Lockard, Derek D. Williamson, Lance E. Williamson, Tyler C. Williamson, Michael C. Lockard and Alaina E. Cotton; and his great-granddaughter, Elise Cotton.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at the Semper Fidelis Memorial Chapel at the National Museum of the Marine Corps with the Rev. Peyton Wilshire officiating. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery with full honors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

Elinor V. Inscoe

Elinor Victoria Tate Inscoe, 88, of Colonial Beach passed away on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Elinor began working at the Naval Proving Ground on the gun line as a data recorder.  She had a 25 year career working in the data recording and processing division reducing data on many of the gun weapon systems at the Dahlgren base.
Elinor was very active in her community throughout her life.  She was the organist at Grace United Methodist Church for 65 years and served as the church treasurer for thirty plus years.  Elinor also enjoyed working on the church history.
She was born January 1, 1922 at her home in Rollins Fork.  She was proceeded in death by her loving husband, Ed Inscoe, her brother Bill Tate and her parents, Willie and Mamie Tate.
She is survived by her brother Alvin R. Tate, her sister-in-law Helen Tate and her two children, Robert and Alan Tate, and their families.
She is also survived by her sister-in-saw Eula Mae Tate and her five children Ellen Marshall, Ann Tate Vicki Tate, Bonnie Neal and Alvin W. Tate and their families.  She is survived by her nieces and nephews including Mildred Rollins, Arlene Lily, Eddie Winfield, Lynda Doherty, Pat Apperson, and Ralph Logan and their families.  She is also survived by her dearest friends Ruth Worrell and Mary Groves.  
Elinor left behind six grand nieces and nephews and seven great grand nieces and nephews.  She leaves behind her cherished church family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home in Colonial Beach.  The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at Grace Methodist Church in Rollins Fork, VA with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Grace Methodist Church Cemetery Fund or to the Colonial Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad or Colonial Beach Volunteer Fire Dept.

Elmer Callie Putnam

Elmer Callie Putnam, 81, of Milford died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at his home.
He was born Dec. 4, 1928, in Richmond, a son of the late Callie Lee Putnam and Earnie Payne Putnam. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy E. Putnam, and a daughter, Linda Bolton.
He served in the U.S. Army until he was honorably discharged in 1956. He worked as a farm manager and construction superintendent for many years, until he and his wife began operating a nursing home in Jeffersonton, until their retirement.
He is survived by his children, Murdock Putnam of Milford, Brenda G. Putnam of Raleigh, NC, Charles D. Bolton Jr. of King George County and James H. Bolton of Orlean; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family received friends Friday, Oct. 15, at Moser Funeral Home, in Warrenton.  A funeral service was held on  Oct. 16, and interment followed in Orlean Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Medi Home Health and Hospice, 3302 Bourbon St., No. 2, Fredericksburg, Va. 22408.
