Clarence Edward Coleman, Jr.

Clarence Edward “Bud” Coleman Jr., 84, of King George County went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 10, 2010.
Left behind to cherish his memories are his daughters, Cindy Flynn of Olive Branch, Miss., and Tracey Clifton of Stafford; a brother, Harry Coleman of North Carolina; stepchildren, Saundra Raynor of Olympia, Wash., Judith Hardbower of King George and Ronald Hardbower of Orlando, Fla.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved him deeply.

Patricia Blackley Wallace

Patricia Blackley Wallace, 74, of Spotsylvania County went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 11, 2010, passing peacefully in her sleep after a long illness.
Known as “Pat,” “Patsy” and “Nanny,” she was born and raised in Spotsylvania and graduated from Spotsylvania High School in 1953. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Cynthia Bailey (Jeff) and Debbie McKeen (Michael Hodgson)all of Fredericksburg; her brother, Kenneth Blackley (Carole)and their family of Warsaw; her sister, Joanne Graves (Charles) and their family, of King George County; her brother, Sonny Ludlam, of Fredericksburg; and her brother-in-law, Ronnie Wallace (Penny) and their family.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Heather Seibert and her husband, John, Ian Bailey and his wife, Brittany, Courtney, Karah and Blake Bailey; her step-grandchildren, Adam and Kyle Hodgson; her great-grandchildren, Jacob, Ryan and Brayden Seibert, Jasmine Harris, Garrett Bailey and Ryleigh Jenks; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Wallace.
A celebration of life service was held Thursday, April 15, at Salem Baptist Church, with the Rev. Randy Allensworth officiating.
The burial will be private in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made in her honor to Mary Washington Hospice, 5012 Southpoint Parkway, Fredericksburg, Va. 22407, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
The family is comforted by prayers from many friends and family and also by confident words from the Rev. Billy Graham.
In an interview about him and his wife, Rev. Graham is reported to have said: “ we know that after we each take our last breath on earth, we will be together in heaven “

Mary Elizabeth Mothershead Breeden Gill

Mary Elizabeth Mothershead Breeden Gill, 94, of Charlottesville, formerly of King George County, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville.
She was the widow of Jesse Breeden and John Gill.
Survivors include two daughters, Ella Atwater and Janette Carneal, both of Charlottesville; one son, Jesse Breeden Jr. of Ruckersville; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held Saturday, April 17, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, 11089 James Madison Parkway, King George, with the Rev. Ted James officiating.
Burial followed in Hanover Baptist Church cemetery in King George.

Raymond Crismond Jr.

Raymond Crismond Jr., 82, of King George County died Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Mary Washington Hospital. He was the widower of Ellen S. Crismond.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Hall and husband Tom of Calabash, N.C., and Linda Johnson and husband Don of King George; a son, Kenneth R. Crismond and wife Debbie of Moncks Corner, S.C.; one sister, Dorothy Morris of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held Friday, April 16, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George, with the Rev. Richard Headley officiating.
Burial took place in Tabernacle Cemetery, King George.
Donations in his memory may be made to King George Fire and Rescue, Box 466, King George, Va. 22485.

Frances R. Blanton

Memorial services for Frances R. Blanton, 84, formerly of King George County, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at Brandermill Woods Clubhouse, 14311 Brandermill Woods Trail, Midlothian. A reception will immediately follow the service.
Mrs. Blanton died Monday, March 29, 2010. Arrangements are being handled by Bennett Funeral Home, Chesterfield Chapel.

Robert L. Ferguson

Robert L. Ferguson, 80, of Fredericksburg died Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Mary Washington Hospital.
He is survived by three brothers: John Ferguson of Bowling Green, Al Ferguson of Seattle, Wash., and Joe Ferguson of King George County.
A memorial service was held Saturday, April 17, at Cedell Brooks Funeral Home, Port Royal, with the Rev. William Frye officiating.

Elsie Helen Hill

Elsie Helen Hill, 80, of Fredericksburg passed away Friday April 16, 2010, at Mary Washington Hospital.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Floyd Hill; her children, William Pugh and his wife, Ruth, both of Fredericksburg, Floyd Hill Jr. and his wife, Samantha, of Stafford County, Dorothy Smith and her husband, Daniel, of King George County, and Avril Faye Kidd and her husband, Denver, also of King George.
She will also be missed by 11 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by five brothers and two sisters: Carl W. Drechsler of Spring Mills, Pa., George Drechsler of Stephens City, Robert Drechsler of Cheltenham, Md., Richard Drechsler of Clinton, Md., Mary Louise Baltimore of Sunderland, Md., Jane Ellen Drechsler of Cortez, Colo., and Gerald Drechsler of Severn, Md.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl H. Drechsler, Albert Drechsler and Thomas Drechsler; and two great-grandchildren.
There will be no memorial service, as she has donated her remains to help others through science.

Dave Morgan

Dave Morgan, 45, of King George County died Saturday, April 17, 2010. He worked as a roofer.
Survivors include his mother, Margie Keens of King George; his brother, Ronnie Morgan of King George; a daughter, Brandy Blankenbaker of Orange County; and his longtime companion, Tammy Blankenbaker of Orange.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, in the Jackson family cemetery in Oak Grove.
Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George, is in charge of the arrangements.
