Theodore Lawrence Martin
Theodore Lawrence “Ted” Martin, Jr., 93, of Stafford County, died on Monday, August 17, 2009 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA.
He is survived by two sisters, Katie Dickinson and Mildred Grigsby; two brothers, John O. Martin and Albert Martin; his children Ralph Martin, Randall and Gayle Martin, Teddy and Diana Martin, and Sally and Ron Crouch; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his stepchildren William Weddle, Jr., Michael and Cindy Weddle, James and Helen Weddle, Leonard and Carol Weddle, and Sara and Kevin Beckwith; 11 stepgrandchildren and four great-stepgrandchildren.
A visitation was held Wednesday, August 19 at Johnson Funeral Home, Locust Grove, VA. The funeral service was held on Thursday, August 20 at the funeral home and burial followed in Historyland Memorial Park, King George, VA.

Mark Crandal Sparks
Mack Crandal Sparks, 52, of Spotsylvania County died Thursday, August 13, 2009 at his home.
Mr. Sparks attended Fork Union Military Academy and was a graduate of King George High School. He was a master electrician and the former electrical inspector for Spotsylvania County. Mack enjoyed riding his '66 shovelhead for over 20 years. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Survivors include his father, Charles K. Sparks, Sr. of King George; his brother, Charles "Kenny" Sparks, Jr. of King George; his niece, Amanda; and two special friends, Bridgette and Nicky. He was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey G. Sparks.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, August 24 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. Interment will be private.
