Foxes Quoc Duong triumphant on Senior Night

On Senior Night, senior second seed Fox tennis player Quoc Duong closed out the Foxes’ home court season with a blast.

Duong went out winning both his singles and doubles matches against Caroline High School, capping a four-year career at King George High School. Duong defeated Tiquan Hudson, 10-5, and along with teammate Cole Galamore, defeated Josh Zeienich, and Rhett Fog, 10-5 in a doubles match.

While Duong’s contributions to the KGHS boys tennis program will be missed, his academic and professional career will soar as he prepares to enter the U. S. Naval Academy this fall.

“King George appreciates his hard work, and dedication throughout his tenure,” Foxes boys head

coach Martin Wolowicz said. “He is a great young man, and sportsman in every sense of the word. His leadership will be sorely missed.”

Overall, Caroline edged the host Foxes 5-4. Currently the Foxes have a overall record of 4-10.

King George will conclude its season against James Monroe on Thursday. Results of Tuesday’s away match against Courtland were unavailable.

Foxes vs Culpeper

On Wednesday, May 2, Culpeper prevailed over the home-standing Foxes in a close battle, 5-4.

Foxes singles victories included: Fifth seed Zach O’Campo defeated Ben Adinolf, 10-7, while sixth seed Bailey Pierce cruised past Alex Jordan, 10-1.

In doubles action, Cole Gallamore, and Marshall Segars overwhelmed Dylan Christian and Michael Hales, 10-6. O’Campo and Pierce teamed up to topple Adinoff, and Josh Thomas, 10-1.
