Hannah Pierce continues to capture the spotlight both on and off the golf course. The Longwood University junior was named to the 2012-2013 All-Big South Women’s Academic Team.
The King George High School alumni has a 76.77 golf scoring average including two top-five performances
out of three top-10 and five top-20 finishes. Among Pierce’s top performances were a number of low scores that include a career best 18-hole score of 72 at the East Carolina/Lady Pirate Intercollegiate, a 36-hole score of 147 (73-74) at the William & Mary/C&F/Nittany Lion Invitational (76-74-77) and at the Campbell/Fighting Camel Fall Classic (77-74-76).
Her current career average of 78.98 is ranked eighth all-time at Longwood. The psychology and criminology major (and minor in homeland security), is academically strong, with a cumulative grade point average of 3.45.
Along with the status of being one of the greatest high school golfers in the history of the Fredericksburg area, she is a two-time National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar (2011-2012) and 2012 Longwood Scholar-Athlete Award recipient.
