KGYAA post season update

This past weekend at Hunter Field, the three multi-team, tackle football divisions of the King George Youth Athletic Association (KGYAA) entered post-season play.
In the Rookie division, the No. 2 Pride defeated the No. 3 Rattlers to advance to the division championship, while the No. 1 Pirates also advanced to the title game by defeating the No. 4 River Hawks.
In the Junior Division, the No. 2 Warriors advanced to the division championship by defeating the No. 3 Bandits, while the No. 4 Mustangs downed the No. 5 Coyotes to meet the No. 1 Spartans in next week’s semi-final contest.

In the JV Division, the No. 2 Coyotes bested the No. 3 Warriors to advance to the division championship, while the No. 4 Mustangs, by virtue of their defeat of the No. 5 Spartans, will advance to meet the No. 1 Bandits in next week’s semi-final game.
 Scores and leaders:
No. 3 Rookie Rattlers at No. 2 Rookie Pride: The Pride defeated the Rattlers 31-6.  The Pride were led by Garrett Jones, Tyler Rose and Hunter Wojcik.  The Rattlers were led by Jaylon Baylor, Jawun Parker and Matt Rose.
No. 4 Rookie River Hawks at No. 1 Rookie Pirates: The Pirates defeated the River Hawks 31-0.  The Pirates were led by Isaiah Landry, Ryan O’Keefe and Khai Seargent.  The River Hawks were led by Carson Alger, Pierce Blaser and David Houck.
No. 5 Jr. Coyotes at No. 4 Jr. Mustangs: The Mustangs defeated the Coyotes 13-0.  The Mustangs were led by Joe Flowers, Tyler Johnson and Jaylen Stepney.  The Coyotes were led by Justin Barnes, Chase French and Devin Williams.
No. 3 Jr. Bandits at No. 2 Jr. Warriors: The Warriors defeated the Bandits 34-14.  The Warriors were led by Kevon Allen, Brenden Dean and Christian Kim.  The Bandits were led by Jermaine Davis, Jeremy Dougherty and Sam Stahl.
No. 5 JV Spartans at No. 4 JV Mustangs: The Mustangs defeated the Spartans 37-13.  The Mustangs were led by Jordan Estes, Zach Johnson and Aaron Schram.  The Spartans were led by Jared Dunnington, Logan Taylor and Jason Yowler.
No. 3 JV Warriors at No. 2 JV Coyotes:  The Coyotes defeated the Warriors 28-6.  The Coyotes were led by QuShaun Allen, Tony Davis, Trevor Parr and Jecolby White. The Warriors were led by Chad Blaser and Robert Price.
 All division championship contests will be played as part of the 2009 KGYAA Frost Bowl, which is scheduled for the weekend of Dec. 5-6.
