KG Xplosion remains committed

Coming off another tournament victory, the King George players enjoyed a softball team party last weekend. Xplosion team members get pleasure from these breaks in tournament play and the rigors of their all-important practice. Just as important is the fact the players enjoy playing, and winning, in different tournaments.

Commitment is a constant with Xplosion teammates. The team practices three or four times a week plus the occasional, additional, voluntary session. Their dedication is demonstrated when numerous players practice with an injury; or when a player with an injured finger (later learned it was broken) plays, very effectively, through a successful tournament. These young ladies, lead by great coaches, are what make Xplosion the great team it has become.
Entering the Fall Softball season, King George is looking toward the “Labor Day Scramble” and “Fall Fast Pitch Festival” tournaments. These tournaments will be held in Richmond during September. Again, Xplosion will be playing against teams from across Virginia.
The experience our players gain is certain to help them as they look toward the opportunity to play Junior Varsity or Varsity Softball here in King George. That is one of the goals of Xplosion’s coaching staff. They will have competed, successfully, against very talented players from around the State of Virginia. That will help meet that goal.
