Third annual Drifter Youth Volleyball Camp

The Colonial Beach girls’ volleyball team hosted the 3rd annual Drifter Youth Volleyball Camp June 1-3.
The camp was in the Drifter Dome at Colonial Beach High School, with a total of 41 participants.  The camp featured the largest turnout since the start of the program.

Rappahannock softball sweeps Colonial Beach

With the exception of giving up one unearned run, one walk, three hits, in five innings, Rappahannock Raider standout softball player, Katherine Morris pitched another solid performance against Colonial Beach.

Rappahannock Raiders topple Drifters

The recent history of the Colonial Beach Drifters’ softball team has been nothing short of a seemingly endless roller coaster ride.
From the highs of clobbering Fredericksburg Christian School, 23-5, April 24 to the lows of losing to Essex, 11-0,  April 28 and Rappahannock, 19-0, the next day.

Drifters baseball in the midst of rebuilding

Although it’s early in the season, the Colonial Beach varsity baseball team still is in search of its  first win.
On March 26 at home, Courtland defeated the Drifters, 13-3. A week earlier, the Cougars handed Colonial Beach (0-2) its first loss of the year.

Twin Valley foils Drifters in VHSL State Semi-finals

For the third consecutive season, the Colonial Beach girls’ basketball team’s dreams of winning a state championship have come to an abrupt end.
