Drifters baseball in the midst of rebuilding

Although it’s early in the season, the Colonial Beach varsity baseball team still is in search of its  first win.
On March 26 at home, Courtland defeated the Drifters, 13-3. A week earlier, the Cougars handed Colonial Beach (0-2) its first loss of the year.

After winning their second straight Conference 43 girls’ basketball tournament and regular season championship in two seasons, the Colonial Beach Drifters are now on the path to a potential regional championship.

Lady Drifters continue to roll

With each passing win, the post-season playoff picture is beginning to unfold for the Colonial Beach girls’ basketball team.
After disposing of Essex (61-38), and Lancaster (73-34), the Drifters (17-3) have a secure first-place lead in the 1A Conference 43.

Colonial Beach rolls past Rappahannock

The Drifterdome in Colonial Beach was buzzing with fan euphoria Jan. 22, as the long-awaited Conference 43 battle between the Drifters (13-3) and Rappahannock unfolded.
Amid a smothering defense and an onslaught of scoring from eight players, the Drifters crushed the visiting Raiders, 70-41.
