Members of the Little River Running Club (LRRC) finished strong at the U.S. Track & Field (USATF) National Youth Indoor Track & Field Championship in Landover, MD. The competition is composed of the nation’s top track & field athletes.

Hutt captures 55-meter dash state championship

King George High School senior Davion Hutt saved his best for last. During the 55-meter dash, at the VHSL Group 4A State Indoor Track & Field Championships, at the Tolsma Track Center, at Liberty University, in Lynchburg.

Foxes fight to the bitter end

In the past two seasons, the Foxes girls’ basketball team (3-7, 7-15) has made tremendous strides towards becoming a formidable foe in the 4A North Conference 22 district. Although Chancellor (65-40) defeated the Foxes in the semi-finals, they can feel proud in knowing that the 2013-2014 season legacy will be remembered as a season filled with success.

Foxes upset top-seeded Chancellor Chargers

By defeating Chancellor (8-1, 14-4) 68-62 on their home court, they have done what no other Conference 23-team could do this season. To make matters worse for the Chargers, the Foxes dethroned them on Senior Night.

Now that the 2014 portion of the King George High School winter sports season is upon us, the memories of the fall will always have their place in time. From cross-country to football, some of the area’s brightest stars stepped up to make a difference in their specialized programs.
