Foxes girls JV soccer ends season in championship thriller

Last Thursday’s girls junior varsity championship game, featuring King George (12-2) and Courtland (13-2) was nothing less than a barn-burning thriller.

King George girls’ triumphant in Chancellor quad meet

Foxes Hannah Koepfinger finished first twice in individual events to lead the King George High School Foxes Foxes to a quad meet win over Chancellor, Riverbend and Massaponax. Koepfinger finished first in the 300-meter hurdles (48:46), and etriple jump (32’8.50”). After running the anchor leg, Koepfinger helped the 4x800-meter relay team (Aubrey Wingeart, Cori French, Brooke West, Koepfinger) place first with a time of 10:46.37.

Foxes girls soccer forges into 2016 season

For the King George girls’ soccer team, its been a slow progression to hopefully becoming a competitive team. Thus far, in the season they are 0-2 with losses to Essex (1-0) and Eastern View (5-0). First-year varsity head coach Ryan Braun is adamant that there is a silver lining in the dark cloud that has followed his team.

Varsity Fox wrestlers end season on high note


King George middle school and NVWF wrestlers grapple for a bright future
The winter sports season brought out the best in King George High School wrestling.
Out of 14 weight classes, all of the Foxes 13 starting wrestlers qualified for the 4A East Regional Tournament. Finishing third in Conference 19, the Foxes have taken a huge step towards a potential team championship.
