Swope takes over as CBHS athletic director

The Drifters sports programs will not miss beat because they are in good hands. The stewardship of athletic director is now in the hands of area sports icon Steve Swope.

Drifters complete another amazing year

The pride of the “Black & Gold” is here to stay. From the start of the 2010-2011 sports season, the Drifters have competed with the best, while leaving no doubt that they are well equipped to compete in the Northern Neck District.

After a tough first year in the district that yielded four wins, the Drifters bounced back with a first round Region playoff berth that featured a 3-2, 6-5 record.

Proving that the sophomore season is a charm, the competition cheerleading team, led by longtime Drifter cheerleading coach Jennifer Grigsby, won its second straight Northern Neck District Cheerleading
