CB Lady Drifters cruise past Essex Trojans

The Lady Drifters are on a mission, and by all accounts, their road to prosperity has the potential of a Northern Neck District title. Most recently, both the varsity and junior varsity teams dominated the Essex Trojans in every aspect of the game of basketball.
While the varsity Drifters defeated the Trojans 49-21, the Drifter junior varsity were victorious over the Trojan JV, 25-11.
As for the varsity, head coach Keith Dickerson is fully aware that the season is far from over, and that his team

Raiders overwhelm Colonial Beach with speed

From the moment of the opening whistle, the game between the Drifter boys’ varsity basketball team and visiting Rappahannock Raiders resembled a track meet. For four quarters, the Raiders never showed any signs of they would relinquish the lead or any part of the word “momentum.”
“We attack teams when have the opportunity; however, sometimes we’re a little fast and have to watch how we control the ball,” Raider boys’ varsity head coach Brody Jackson said.

Lady Drifters varsity slams Charles City

The Drifters varsity girls’ basketball team opened their season with an impressive 41-24 victory over the Charles City Panthers.
At first glance, the Panthers are noticeably lacking in depth with only six players on the team; however, what the Panthers lacked in team size, they more than made up for it in determination. For four straight quarters the Panther were relentless, as they attempted to overwhelm the host Drifters with quickness and hustling skills.

Colonial Beach Drifters ends season in Region playoffs

Division one, Region A Football playoffs

Gridiron revitalization in the land of Black & Gold has arrived. While the Drifters’ season ended in a 45-12 loss to Franklin, the unique honor of making the Region A playoffs after a one-year hiatus is a sign that the program has redefined itself as a viable competitor in the Northern Neck District. Not only did the Black & Gold put together a six-game winning streak, but also they narrowly lost an opportunity to win the district outright before going into the playoffs.
In the past the Drifters matched up well against the Broncos, but costly mistakes could mean the difference of winning or losing.

Lancaster edges CB Drifters

Colonial beach high school homecoming drifter football results

After a six-game winning streak, the Drifters varsity football team fell from grace, as the Lancaster Red Devils rallied to defeat them in the final quarter 29-28.
The Red Devils (4-1, 8-1) were leading the Northern Neck Division until Essex beat them two weeks ago, and the Drifters (3-1, 6-3) assumed the top spot in the Northern Neck. For the playoffs, because King William defeated West Point 28-14, the Drifters are secured a post-season bid.
