Harding pitches no hitter against Lancaster

W&L standout goes the distance to record rare feat
A.C. Harding, a freshman who pitched a no hitter last week to lead the Washington & Lee softball team to a victory over Lancaster, is rapidly becoming one of the Westmoreland County high school's top athletes.

W&L HS hires new varsity head football coach

After a lengthy and determined multi-state search, Washington & Lee High School has hired Josh Wild, the offensive coordinator at Southern Lee High School in Sanford, NC as its new football coach.  This will be Wild's first head coaching opportunity.

W&L softball splits games

The Washington & Lee Eagles softball team won one and lost one as they headed into their spring break last week. Coach John Cottom's scrappy but inexperienced team returns to action this week against Middlesex.

W&L Lady Eagles open softball season with a split

The Washington & Lee Lady Eagles softball team opened its 2016 season with a new coach, a scrappy freshman pitcher and a can-do attitude that resulted in one win and one loss last week.

Lady Eagles basketball hoping for improvement this year

The Washington and Lee Lady Eagles basketball team has games against King and Queen and King William high schools at home this week and with returning players at key positions is hoping for an improved record this year.
“We are hopeful that some young athleticism will turn into improved results this year,” said Washington and Lee Athletic Director Malcolm Lewis. “Coach Elizabeth Beckham gets a lot out of these girls.”
