Operation Take-Back nets 10 arrests and 21 indictments

December 11, 2013 has turned out to be a bad day for 10 individuals, nine of whom were were rounded up early this morning and one who was already incarcerated on unrelated charges by the Tri-County Task Force under Operation Take Back.

The round up resulted in a combination of 21 indictments among the accused.

During the early morning hours, The Tri-County task force made up of Westmoreland, King George and Caroline County Sheriff's officers along with State Police and NCIS executed indictments on 10 individuals with charges ranging from distribution of illegal substances to child abuse and neglect.

The task force received additional assistance from Westmoreland County EMS, ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Control), Colonial Beach Police Department and Northern Neck Regional Jail in these arrests as well as executing a search warrant in the 300 block of 4th Street in Colonial Beach.

The ground work for Operation Take Back has been in the works for roughly four months. During the execution of the search warrant, items seized included narcotics, paraphernalia, U.S. currency and one passenger vehicle.

All parties arrested on Dec. 11 were arraigned in the Westmoreland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court this morning. Those suspects without bond will return to Westmoreland County on Friday, Dec. 13 to conduct bond hearings in the Circuit Court.

Westmoreland County Sheriff, C. O. Balderson said in a phone interview Wednesday morning, “We said from day one we have zero tolerance for this type of activity. Individuals who continue to be involved in this type of illegal activity will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.” Balderson said the investigation is ongoing and more charges will be forthcoming.

All suspects are currently being held at the Northern Neck Regional Jail. (NNRJ)

Catherine J. Musgrove, age 55 of Westmoreland Shores subdivision was indicted on one count of distribution of a schedule 1 or 2 substance namely morphine and one count to conspire to distribute the same. She is being held without bond.

Samantha M. Musgrove, age 22 of Westmoreland Shores subdivision was indicted on two counts of child neglect and abuse. She is eligible for a $3,000 bond.

Kenneth W. Musgrove, age 25 of Westmoreland Shores subdivision was indicted on four charges: one count to distribute a controlled 1 or 2 substance namely morphine; one count to conspire to distribute the same and two counts of child abuse and neglect. He is eligible for a $5,000 bond.

Perry A. Fauntleroy Jr., age 27 of Hague was indicted on one count of distribution of marijuana and is being held without bond.


Loretta L. Beverly, age 37 of Hague was indicted on one count of distribution of a schedule 1 or 2  substance namely crack cocaine and one count to conspire to distribute the same. Beverly is being held without bond.  

Antoine L. Mills, age 33 of Hague was indicted on one count of distribution of a schedule 1 or 2  substance namely crack cocaine and one count to conspire to distribute the same. Mills is being held without bond.

June C. Cornwell, age 55 of Colonial Beach was indicted on one count of distribution of a schedule 1 or 2 substance namely heroin and one count to conspire to distribute the same. June is being held with no bond.

Samantha A. Cornwell-Wood, age 24 of Colonial Beach was indicted on one count of distribution of a schedule 1 or 2 substance namely heroin and one count to conspire to distribute the same. Samantha is being held without bond.

Stanley A. Cornwell, age 52 of Colonial Beach was indicted on one count of distribution of a schedule 1 or 2 substance namely Opana. Stanley is being held without bond.

Jennifer A. Campagne, age 44 currently incarcerated in the NNRJ on unrelated charges was indicted on one count distribution of an imitation controlled one or two substance. Campagne is being held without bond.
