Childhood
Stone was born in New York City and was the son of a Relations with foreign states named Jacqueline and a stockbroker called Louis Stone (born Louis Silverstein. He grew up raised in New York City and Stamford, Connecticut.
During the Second World War, and his parents got married when their father was fighting for the Allies in France. Stone’s dad was Jewish, and his mother was Roman Catholic, both of whom were non-practising. Stone was reared in the Anglican Church but now follows Buddhism.
Education
Stone attended Trinity Institution in New York City before being transferred to The Hill School, a college-preparatory school in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, by his parents. His parents separated unexpectedly while he was away at school in 1962, and because he was an only child, this left an indelible impression on him. Stone’s mother was frequently absent, and his father had a significant influence on his childhood, maybe. As a result, father-son interactions are prominent in Stone’s picture.

The United States Army
Stone enrolled in the United States Army in April 1967 and desired combat duty in Vietnam. He served in Vietnam with the 2nd Platoon and was twice wounded during the action. He was subsequently sent to the 1st Cavalry Division, where he participated in long-range reconnaissance missions before being moved again to operate for the division’s motorised infantry battalion until November 1968. His military award winners also include the Silver Star with the “V” Device for valour, the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Group to signify honours, the Army Special Achievement Medal, and the Army Medal of honour Medal.
